We create outdoor and studio sessions that result in beautiful photographs and wall art of your family and extended family.

At Atascocita Photography we believe family photography has the power to build confidence. Displaying photos of your children in your home is very important. What better than to remind then every time they walk into the room of a special day when you had your family documented to share how proud you are of them. We are dedicated to designing a photography experience that each family will remember as the session as a highlight and special memory they were able to make together. We have many options to customize your session from your family. Family Portrait Process
From Booking to Printing.
STEP ONE.
Book your session as early as possible to get your preferred date. For this Houston family photographer, Saturday and Sunday Sunset sessions are the first to fill up during the fall and spring seasons. Houston families typically book 2-6 months in advance. Don’t worry we can fit you in, but you may have to schedule your family portraits for a weekday evening or weekend morning. Use the form at the bottom of the page to contact Stephanie. You can also pick out your session date and book through the website.
STEP TWO.
Upon booking, a session design consultation is available for each family portrait session via phone, email or in-person to discuss the vision for your portraits. Stephanie can help with ideas for locations, outfits and even unique ways to incorporate a theme. You should also book your hair & makeup artist at this time. It isn’t required, but helps you show up to your session looking and feeling your best. References for hair & makeup artists available upon request.
STEP THREE.
It’s the day of your senior session and time to get ready. Key points for families: wardrobe coordination and hair styling. Arrive at your session wearing your outfit and ready to go. Props are welcomw. We’ll show you how to pose to look your best while keeping it simple with a combination of poses looking at the camera and interactring with your family members.
STEP FOUR.
About 2 weeks after your family portrait session you’ll be able to see your images for the first time! You’ll get to pick out your favorite images to order as printable digital files, canvas, albums, wall art and more! A la carte and package options are available. Because we have no minimum order or order type requirement, the total investment varies but is always up to you.

Additional Information
Q. How long will my family portrait session be?
A. The most popular session for families is 1 hour. If you have an extended family or want to go to more than one location I recomend the 2 hour session.
Q. How much will my family portraits cost?
A. The total will be comprised of two parts- your session fee and your image order. We don’t have a min. order. Sessions for families start at $100 and digital images start at $35. pricing info
Q. Can I get the digital files?
A. Of course! You’ll get to view all your images and select your favorites to order as digital files or printed images. We also have discounts if you’d like to have them all!
Q. Do you have packages?
A. Yes, this The Woodlands family photographer offers digitals a la cart and in quantity discounted packages starting at 5 images. We have a la carte prints and products as well as packages if you prefer. It’s totally up to you.
Q. I want to go somewhere special for my family portrait session, can we?
A. Great! As The Woodlands family photographer, I love shooting in new locations! Tell Stephanie so we can plan accordingly for the session schedule. Travel 30 miles each way is included.
Q. Can I print the digital files I order?
A. Yes! Digitals come in a few sizes and include a print release. View our pricing page for details. Please ask if you have any questions.
Q. Can my personal hair and makeup artist come along on the photo shoot?
A. Absolutely, I would love to have them join us. After all, this is all about you and your family!
Q. What time of day will my session be?
A. During the consultation and session design process, we will select a time based on the selected location, desired look, and your schedule. Generally, I have family sessions at sunrise, 1, or 2 hours before sunset.
Q. When will I get to see my family pictures?
A. Your proofing gallery will be ready about 2 weeks after your session for you to Ooo and Aaa over!
Q. How can I share my images with my friends?
A. Any digital images ordered may be shared on social media or used in your announcements. If you order a full digital collection you also will receive a custom app with ALL your proof images on it! Share away! Don’t forget to tag @atascocitaphoto on Instagram and @atascocitaphoto and on Twitter!
Q. I want an on-location session, can you do that?
A. Yes, we can have your session indoors at a location that is special to you or I can come to your home. There are also many very beautiful studios across the greater Houston area that rent out time for us to have your family session, family reunion session, etc. Please ask so we can check availability for you.
