Welcome to Atascocita Photography: a professional photographer in Houston where I specialize in providing a professional photography service, making memories for your family through portrait and wedding photography or helping you promote your business through eye-catching imagery as a commercial and product photographer.

A Little About Me, Stephanie
Hi, I’m Stephanie – the photographer and creative heart behind Atascocita Photography.
I’m so glad you’re here! As a native Houstonian, I’ve bounced between the trifecta of Texas cities Houston, Dallas, and Austin while working as an industrial designer. But my heart brought me back to Houston to be close to the people I love most my family.
Photography started as a creative outlet, but quickly became something more. I discovered how much joy it brings me to capture authentic, meaningful moments for other families just like I do for my own. Today, I’m proud to be both the lead photographer and product designer at Atascocita Photography, where I blend years of design experience with storytelling through portraits, brands and weddings.
I also love sharing what I’ve learned with other parents and aspiring photographers through classes, mentoring, and hands-on learning. When I’m not behind the camera or editing with a strong cup of coffee in hand, you can find me hanging out with my family, spoiling my yorkie, or treasure-hunting for the next perfect pair of sparkle shoes.
Why I started Atascocita Photography
Starting Atascocita Photography was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, to design meaningful, lasting products that bring joy to others. Whether I was gluing together a handmade puzzle as a gift for my mom in first grade, or later designing handbags and shoes for brands like Fossil and Elaine Turner, I’ve always loved seeing people use and cherish something I’ve created. That same joy drives me today as a professional photographer in Houston, where I specialize in transforming your most meaningful moments into heirloom-quality artwork.
At Atascocita Photography, we offer more than just stunning images—we create custom-designed albums, wall art, acrylic prints, canvas wraps, and keepsake jewelry that become part of your home and your family legacy. We also design and professionally print luxury announcements, invitations, save the date cards, and holiday greeting cards with elegant finishes and premium papers. I fell in love with the grace and beauty of wedding photography instantly. Through surprise proposals with your family hiding in the wings, to romantic engagement sessions and gorgeous bridal portraits, I get a chance to make a bond with my brides and grooms documenting a memory for their new family. By the time the wedding day comes, I’m sharing in the joy and excitement as you say your vows and celebrate with your family!
SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHY
Your senior year is your time to shine and look back at all the memories and achievements of you childhood. We’ll document this milestone with a fashion focused approach that is all about you, your personality and your personal style. We’ll plan custom settings and outfits that highlight your story and tell the story of you as you step into adulthood. Each senior gets a custom consultation to build a photo shoot plan that no one else has!
FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY
Family photography is a truly special part of my job. I get to document your family at each step of your journey for future generations. Starting with your wedding or the birth of a new baby, I want to follow you each year through birthdays and special events. We’ll take holiday portraits and make a custom book for the grandparents. We’ll make the artwork that will line the walls and shelves of your home that your children get to grown up with. We make lasting memories. I’ll also help you archive your story for future generations.
COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Many types of photography fall under the umbrella of commercial photography. A headshot for your new marketing campaign, real estate photography, product photography for your e-commerce website, financial report images or lifestyle imagery to tell the story of next season’s launch. What To Expect During Your Portrait Session or Wedding Photography
About Atascocita Photography: Portrait Process
- Book Your Session | Book via the website by filling out the form and submitting your session fee. Add digitals or a package now if you prefer or wait until after you see them.
- Let’s Plan | We can discuss themes, wardrobe, and locations via phone, email, or in-person.
- Take Pictures | Your session day has arrived. I’ll walk you through each pose, don’t be nervous!
- Editing | Your images will be professionally edited.
- Ordering Images |Â You can choose to order from an online gallery or meet in person to choose your digital or printed image order.
- Final Image Retouching and Product Design | Your ordered images will be retouched and any printed images ordered.
- Order Pickup| It’s like your favorite day of the year! When your order is ready you will be notified to be picked up at the studio or emailed that your digitals are ready via download.
- Enjoy! | Please share your images with family and friends. I hope these new heirlooms bring you unending joy!
About Atascocita Photography: Wedding Photography Process
- Wedding Date | This first step is to reach out and see if I still have your wedding date available. If so, I would love to meet with you for a consultation.
- Schedule A Consultation | At your consultation I would love to hear about all the special details you have planned for your wedding day. This helps me formulate a sample wedding day photography schedule for you. I also like to go over images from a full wedding day and an wedding album. I also be able to walk you though my wedding photography contract any answer any questions you may have.
- Book Your Wedding Date | To officially book our wedding date, you should submit your retainer and signed contract. You can do this at your consultation or send it back in shortly after. Weddings are booked on a first come basis and unfortunately can not be held without a retainer.
- Finalize The Wedding Day Schedule | You have the opportunity for a second consultation three to four weeks before your wedding day. We can go over the final schedule and last minute details. We can do this via phone or email if you prefer.
- Wedding Day! | Relax and soak up all the memories. We will guide you through photography for your wedding day. You don’t have to remember a thing.
- Editing | Enjoy your honemoon and we’ll be working on your wedding gallery and album design.
- Enjoy! | Your wedding gallery is now live and we will send you a link to share with friends and family. You also now have the chance to finalize your wedding album design and select images for any canvases or other prints you have ordered.
