This short design phase allows us to shape the look, mood, and personality of your session so everything feels cohesive and elevated.

A little preparation here means your session day feels relaxed, confident, and effortless.

Below you’ll answer a few questions to build your style profile and below you’ll find tips on how to prepare for a polished session. Think of this as your style blueprint.

Professional portraits look effortless on camera because the preparation is intentional. These simple steps help everything photograph clean, refined, and elevated. When the small details are handled ahead of time, the session flows smoothly and the final images reflect that polish.

This guide ensures you walk into your session feeling prepared, confident, and camera-ready.

Hair, Skin, Nails

Clean, shaped nails (neutral tones photograph beautifully)
Moisturized skin and lips
Brows groomed and tidy
Hair trimmed/colored 1–2 weeks before your session, ideally.
Avoid last-minute hair color changes
Skip spray tans within 48 hours
Drink extra water the week of your session
Exfoliate and moisturize lips
Get a full night of sleep before session day

Wardrobe Polish

Steam or press every outfit
Remove tags and stickers
Try on all looks ahead of time
Bring backup options
Neutral undergarments only
Lint roll fabrics
Clean shoes
Keep accessories intentional and minimal
Pack outfits neatly to avoid wrinkles

Day of Session Details

Arrive fully ready with hair and makeup complete
Bring a small touch-up kit (powder, lip gloss, brush)
Eat before your session
