A little while back, I had the honor to spend a lovely afternoon in Downtown Humble or  “Old Humble” (as some who have lived in the area a while may say) with Kari and Josh to shoot their engagement photos. I have been excited to do another Downtown Humble engagement photo session and was glad this couple liked the idea!

We met up at Charles Bender High School, the original high school building in Humble. We made our way around Humble- climbing trees,  looking cool on the rail road tracks, and dancing on main street! Needless to say Kari and Josh we really great at trying something new! 🙂

This area of our “little” part of Houston is great because it is full of textures and vintage elements that add a rich mood to the portraits. Trivia: Did you know there is a WWI memorial in front of the old high school building? Did you know the back door says: “IMPOSSIBLE IS UNAMERICAN”  How inspiring!

Kari and Josh were really happy with the results too. They have added them to their wedding website and told me they were going to display them around the guest book at their wedding. I am so proud to have captured this memory for them and to have the photos on display at their wedding. Congrats to Kari and Josh~!
