Quinceanera Portraits in Humble: Mercer Arboretum honoring Elizabeth. Elizabeth is a student at Humble High School and is about to celebrate her 15th birthday with a Quinceanera! We met up recently at Mercer Arboretum in Humble to take some portraits in her beautiful pink dress.  If you haven’t been to Mercer Arboretum recently it is really time to go. Being a photographer I find myself there a lot. They are really friendly to photographers as long as you are respectful to the gardens. Not too long ago, almost two years ago I think, they updated the portion of the park that has raised beds. They put a lot of drought-tolerant plants and succulents. They also have recently started clearing out the formerly natural area between the cypress garden and the back Japanese-inspired pavilion and lake. I can’t wait to see how that comes out, because that area is huge! Well, I digress- but Elizabeth was nice enough to travel all the way to the back over the in-progress construction zone of gravel to the back lake area. I reassured her it would be worth it! I think you will agree. The light blue of the water turned out to be some of my favorite images against her light pink dress. Thanks, Elizabeth, and I hope you have a wonderful Quinceanera!

Portraits at Mercer Arboretum

Mercer is a great location for many types of photography. The garden aspect is something that really can bring a unique style to your portrait session and won’t be found at other locations in Northeast Houston or Humble, TX. We will have a fun evening exploring all parts of Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens and taking your portraits in a variety of locations. It would also be a great idea to have family portraits at the same time. Your family could have photos taken at the beginning of your session and then we could do your individual portraits after that. What a special memory for your family! You could make prints of the family portrait as their thank you gift for all their support for your quince!

Quinceanera Portrait For Display

After your portrait session, there are so many fun things we can make with your photos to be displayed at your party. I would suggest gift prints for the family, an album for your family to cherish forever, and a grand framed canvas or framed print to display at the entrance of your party, near your guest book, or both.
