This booth explains what Texas Antique Weekend is all about- F U N! Always on the hunt for inspiration for new photo sessions and fresh props I decided to make the two hour trip from Atascocita to Round Top, TX a small town just outside of Brenham. ( Brenham is known for the Blue Bell Creamery and Blinn College. ) Round Top is where they have the Texas Antique Weekend. This is a weekend that is really like 2.5 weeks and happens twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. You never know what suprising and inspirational things you may find there-which is why I went-to get some ideas for vintage styled shoots, which I know would be great for seniors! The types of vendors at this festival range from antique furniture to retro Christmas decor to unique items that you just don’t see anywhere else. I found a little lamp at a booth owned by a local
Houston shop Scarlette’s Web (I’ll have to visit their store in the heights soon) it has little carved dutch people all around it! (Quick pics are from my phone.)
Here are some more goodies I saw:
Vintage lighting-
Rustic letters-
A vintage lense advertising diaplay-
Here are a few ”Only in Texas” items I thought were great-
If only I had a truck…some of these would have come home with me!
