Cherished Memories For A Lifetime.

Houston maternity photographer, Atascocita Photography is a nationally published photographer based in Northeast Houston, where we specialize in beautiful maternity portraits that commemorate a special time when you’re waiting to meet your new baby. This window of time goes by so quick. We want to capture this beautiful memory with a portrait session of the mom, the parents, or even to include older siblings.

Maternity sessions may be done at any time during pregnancy where you feel comfortable. A good guide is to book around 30-32 weeks. At Atascocita Photography we believe photography has the ability to document life at all stages. We are dedicated to designing a maternity photography experience that each mother will remember as the highlight of one of the most special segments of her life.

Maternity Portrait Process

From Booking to Sharing and Printing.

STEP ONE:

Book your maternity session as early as possible to get your preferred date. You want to have your photoshoot around 30-32 weeks. For this Houston maternity photographer, Saturday sessions are the first to fill up, especially during the fall and spring seasons. Houston expecting mothers typically book 2-4 months in advance. Don’t worry we can fit you in, but you may have to schedule your senior portrait session for a weekday evening or weekend morning. Use the form at the bottom of the page to contact Stephanie. She’ll let you know what dates are available and send you a booking invoice to reserve your photo shoot appointment.

STEP TWO:

Each maternity session is unique and never 100% like anyone else. Upon booking, a session design consultation is available for each expecting parent via phone, email or in-person to discuss the vision for your portraits. We can plan a Houston Maternity Photographer session in the studio or outdoors. Stephanie can help with ideas for locations, outfits and even unique ways to incorporate a theme. You should also book your hair & makeup artist at this time. It isn’t required, but helps you show up to your session looking and feeling your best.  References for hair & makeup artists available upon request.

STEP THREE:

It’s the day of your Houston maternity session and time to get ready.  Key points: wardrobe, hair, makeup, and being comfortable! Arrive at your session with hair and makeup done and wearing your first outfit if outdoors. In the studio, you may get dressed once you arrive. Have the rest neatly pressed and ready to go on hangers. If you’d like, bring extra outfit options and I can help you decide what to wear. Props are welcome- some of my favorites are ultrasound portraits and baby shoes You could even bring apiece of decor from the nursery like a sign with the baby’s name. You can feel confident that we’ll show you how to pose to look your best.

STEP FOUR:

About 1 week after your maternity portrait session you’ll be able to see your images for the first time! It’s not uncommon for your expecting parents to cry when they see their portraits! You’ll get to pick out your favorite images to order as printable digital files, canvas, albums, wall art and more! A la carte and package options are available. Some expecting parents order all digitals and some a combo of printed and digital images.

“I loved you from the very start. You stole my breath, embraced my heart. Our life together has just begun. You’re part of me, my little one.”
